Tapo C210: Home/Away Mode Shortcut/Automation Support
Let us please toggle Home and Away modes using Shortcuts and thereby Alexa, it isn't very pleasant to always head into the app and navigate into camera settings just to change modes.

We sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback regarding adding the Home/Away mode as an action of the Smart Action (Shortcut & Automation) feature. To better align future functionalities with your needs, we encourage users to provide detailed background information when voting or writing comments (e.g., reasons for wanting the feature, usage scenarios, such as wish to control camera's Detection, Alarm, or Notification feature independent via Smart Action feature, or manage more complex scenarios, like simultaneously controlling Detection, Alarm, Notifications, and the Privacy mode, etc.)
Hot topics with detailed background information will be prioritized for evaluation. We welcome users' votes and comments and will continue to record and relay user requests to optimize our product features and enhance the user experience.

@LeonWasTaken I understand there is a security issue doing this via Alexa (a burglar could just ask Alexa to switch away mode off).
However if home/away mode could be activated via a secure API call then you could easily activate the mode automatically using an app such as Macrodriod. This app would detect your aerial by noticing your phone attached to your home WiFi and then automatically enable Home mode on your camera.
We just need Taop to agree to make the feature available via API. The benefit of this approach is that you wouldn't even need to remember to ask Alexa!!

I think this is must have feature. I am controlling a lot through Apple Shortcuts. In Apple Shortcuts there is a possibility to use shortcut from Tapo, if we could create Tapo shortcut to set camera in Home/Away mode, it would be possible. I want to set my cameras in Home mode when I am at the location. Currently such basic thing is not possible. I am really considering other products because of lack of this feature.
