It's our mission to always look at ways to make our products sustainable. To come out of these efforts, TP-Link is launching our first solar charging panel, Tapo A200. Tapo solar panel captures free, clean solar energy and provides a non-stop power supply for the Tapo battery-powered cameras to ensure they protect our customers all year round.

Tapo A200 mainly works with Tapo C420/C400/C425 and subsequent shipments of battery cameras to allow for the security cameras to be constantly charged with energy. You don't need to frequently take down the battery or camera for charging. Let's take a quick look at its appearance and features that you may be interested in.

  @NguyenKhoi Hi, take the Tapo D230S1 as an example, the Tapo A200 can power the doorbell's battery directly when the battery is not inserted into the doorbell. However, it can't power the doorbell when the battery is inserted since the doorbell does not have a micro USB port to connect the Tapo A200.

  @Solla-topee I was wondering if it is possible, or will be possible, to charge two cameras with one panel in parallel?

e.g., when having two C420 on a corner of a building to cover both sides of the building and only having one Panel on the sunnier side of that corner and use a Y-cable or micros usb splitter to plug into the batteries of both cameras from the same panel?

  @Skyndrome

Hi,
One Tapo A200 is designed to provide a non-stop power supply for one Tapo battery-powered camera, and it's not recommended to be used to power more cameras.

Best Regards
