Motion detection off while person detection on. Working fine during 6am until 7pm with detection and recording. Recording schedule is set to detection recording 24/7. Not sure why its not working after 7pm

Hi,
Please help confirm the following information about the reported issue.
1. Does the problem happen every day?

 

2. Please go to the Tapo app>Smart tab to check if there are some Shortcut or Automation entries configured for your camera. For example, turn on the privacy mode at 7 pm every day.

 

3. Can you receive person-detected notifications after 7 pm? It's recommended to go to the camera's Device Settings>Detection page to check what detection type you have enabled after 7 pm.

Based on my observation recording happens only when both motion and person detection are turned on at the same time during 8pm to 6am. Video mode set to Auto. Privacy mode not turned on.

Set up settings: Video mode auto Person detection on Motion detection off Privacy mode off Recording 24/7 detection recording No automation set No devices under home or away mode I currently have 3 cameras. First camera C200 was working fine until Jan 31. Then I installed 2 more (TC65 and TC70) on Feb 1 that's when I noticed all cameras was not recording 8pm onwards.

Hi,
Please confirm whether there are no persons moving in front of the camera after 8 PM thus no detection video recordings are created.

 

If not, take the TC70 as an example, please help send us the following information after 8 PM for further analysis.
1. Please go to the camera's Live View page and send me a picture of it.
2. Go to the camera's Device Settings>Detection page and send me a picture of this page, then tap Person Detection and send me a picture of it.
3. Enable the Notification feature on the Device Settings page if it's disabled.
4. Send me a picture of the Storage & Recordings>Recording Schedule page.
5. You can move in front of the TC70, check if you can receive a person-detected notification, and check if there are video clips created.
If not, please refer to the link below to collect the camera log and send it to me.
