Change WiFi password
Change WiFi password

I have two TC82 cameras connected via WiFi. I periodically change the WiFi password. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this apart from resetting the camera and setting it up again from scratch.
Does anyone know how to change the WiFi password without resetting the camera or how to backup the settings and restore the settings if the camera is reset?

Hi All,
First of all, thank you for your attention to our products and your valuable feedback. We have received your requests regarding the ability of Tapo smart devices to connect to different Wi-Fi networks/passwords without requiring a factory reset. We will continue to relay this feedback to the relevant departments for assessment and improve the user experience of our products.
Currently, the following alternative solution may be helpful to you (for example, when the camera is mounted at a high place and it is inconvenient to reset it).
1. If the Tapo smart device is online in the Tapo app, you can remove the device from the Tapo app to perform a factory reset. Then, reconfigure the device through the app to connect to the new Wi-Fi network.
2. If the Tapo smart device is offline in the Tapo app, try turning on the old router or configuring the new router's Wi-Fi network to match the old router's settings. Restart the smart devices to attempt to restore them online, and then repeat Step 1.
For the feature requested, you can vote and leave your comment in the thread "Need to change Wifi SSID without resetting the Cameras", and the article here includes some typical scenarios to consider. Please choose one from these when giving feedback or voting. Thanks!
Best Regards
