C210 Motion detection zones configuration not working
Hi,
I am trying to configure my new C210 Tapo smart camera and the motion zone configuration doesn't seem to work.
I have configured the camera to sense motion in only a part of view but it is triggering alerts even when there is motion only in other parts, marked as not to be monitored. This camera is street facing and I have set it to point towards front part of my property and if someone drives or walks in, it should monitor and track their motion. As it is triggering a lot of alerts every hour, its making notification monitoring unusable.
I have tried rebooting, checking for updates, updated app to latest version-multiple times and ensuring the SD card, etc is right.
Any specific configuration setting or trick to make it work is greatly appreciated.
Sample alert and video attached for reference. This triggered a person alert but no motion alert

Hi,
Thank you for the information provided. Since the Activity Zone you set works for the Motion Detection feature only, the activity zone for the Person Detection is the full screen, and it's normal for the camera to detect the person walking in front of the camera.
In your usage scenario, you can try to turn off the Person Detection feature, then only the motion within the Activity Zone will be detected.

@Solla-topee Thanks @Solla-topee
I changed the setting as described and tried restarting camera and checking, false motion alerts are still being registered.
Enough light and no other motion in the view to trigger these. Please see configuration screenshots for reference and motion video attached.
anything else that can be adjusted?

Hi,
After confirming with the relevant team, on Tapo C210, the activity zone of the Motion Tracking function is also full screen, not limited by the Motion Detection activity zone.
Currently, Tapo C210 has a new firmware that supports the feature that the first trigger of Motion Tracking should be the event within the activity zone configured.
Please send me(@Solla-topee) the "Forum ID 717970 + Tapo C210's MAC address" via a private message if you want to try the new firmware.
