Firmware Version:

I want to use a number of temp/humidity sensors but I need to be able to capture the data for logging in an external database automatically.

(If I can get at the raw data, I can manipulate it programmatically as I need)

As I understand it, the only automatic Tapo data export function is by email?

can someone tell me how this works in practice?

what is the file format? (.csv, .xls?)

Can all of the sensors be reported in a single email with the data in a single file?

do the files contain a device id?

could someone post an extract from an export file please?

regards

Dave

Sensor data will need to be exported in the Tapo app one by one. The file is in CSV format.

The file name and contents do not contain device information (device name, Mac, etc.) If you need to process data from multiple sensors, please rename the file when you save it locally from the email.

Hi,

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this makes the temperature probes useless for automated data collection. Manually saving and renaming files is impractical.

Please consider providing an alternative method for saving the data from multiple devices

As a minimum, please add device details to the csv file

regards

Dave
