Hardware Version: V2

Firmware Version: 1.3.11

Created camera account for this device but when trying to use any other service such as Vlc the username/password is not accepted as correct. I've not installed an sd card yet if that makes any difference. Reset from the app. Removed the camera from app and reinstalled. Changed camera account password etc several times to no avail. Any help at all ?

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you fail to establish the RTSP/Onvif connection.
What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?

If the problem remains, please confirm the following information.
1. The network diagram. Are the camera and computer installed with the VLC connected to the same Wi-Fi network? Can you ping the camera's IP address successfully on the computer?
2. What URL have you used on your VLC when streaming the camera?
3. Please send us a picture of the error message when trying to establish the RTSP/Onvif connection.

@Solla-topee this is not the answer nor the issue. The issue is the rtsp stream does not accept the camera account user name and password no matter what I set it to. This camera has been rest multiple times with different user names and password combinations tried. Just comes back to Login screen
