Model: Tapo C210
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.4

I updated my 2 cameras with 1.4.4 / rel 42339n. Since the update, motion detection does not propagate to QVR pro. Motion is detected in app, but not through ONVIF.

With FW 1.3.11 motion detection worked fine.

Please help.

  @newyankee

I have now received a new camera as a replacement with FW 1.3.7 which I updated to 1.3.11. With FW 1.3.11 ONVIF motion detection works.

What can I do about the 2nd camera? As stated on the first post, motion detection does not work with QVR pro. Time settings are correct.

Hi,
The new firmware has been pushed to your camera, please update it via the Tapo app and check if it helps.
Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

In have installed FW 1.4.5

Unfortunately, there is no motion detection OR no notification at all:

  • In-app notification is now broken, too
  • ONVIF doesn't work

Best

Hi,
Please try to factory reset the camera by pressing the reset button for 10s, then reconfigure it. Then set up the Detection, notification, and Onvif connection on the camera and check if these features will work.
Best Regards

I did as requested. Delete from app - hard reset on the camera - restart - reconfigured wifi/network - reconfigured detection settings: motion (sensitivity 8) and person detection (sens 7) - reconfigured camera account.

There is no motion or person detection. Neither in app nor through ONVIF

Hi,
1. On the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Alarm page, please enable the Alarm feature and then check if the camera will alarm when detecting events. We need to confirm if the detection feature is working or not.

2. If the detection feature works, please refer to the instructions below to confirm if the notification feature is configured properly.
How to configure the Notification feature for the Tapo Camera on the Tapo app?
After that, go to the  Tapo app > Home tab > Bell icon > your camera page to confirm if you can receive notifications when the camera detects events.

If the problem remains, please send us pictures of the camera's Detection, Alarm, and Notification feature pages.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

1. The alarm feature is working

2. Everything is configured as described. Screenshots below. The second camera, which is on FW 1.3.11 works okay and is sending notifications in app and via ONVIF

06A8 is on FW 1.4.5 - motion detection/notifications NOT working

63B9 is on FW 1.3.11 - motion detection/notifications working OK

Config pages:

Notifications

Alarm

Person detection

Motion detection

AFAIK, everything is configured properly. Identical config works on 1.3.11

Please assist.
