Camera stuck after failed firmware update, reset impossible

I have a TP-Link Tapo C510W camera that started having poor Wi-Fi reception after I switched to a new router. I repeatedly tried to perform a firmware update, but it failed each time - even after I moved the camera closer to the router. Despite the failed updates, live video and controls still worked in the Tapo app.
I then removed the camera from the Tapo app in an attempt to reset it. However, that didn’t work. After waiting a bit, I unplugged the camera and plugged it back in, but now it immediately goes into Privacy Mode. I still have a camera account linked to my Synology Surveillance Station, so I can see the feed there, but there’s no way to turn off Privacy Mode or trigger a proper reset. Pressing or holding the reset button (even for 10 seconds) has no effect.
How can I fully reset the camera so I can set it up again? Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You can try the following steps and check if they work.
1. Turn off the camera, wait for two minutes, turn it back on, and wait for another two minutes.
2. Press the reset button for 10 seconds to factory reset the camera, please pay attention to the LED changes on the camera.
a) If the LED on the camera is flashing red and green, you can try to reconfigure the camera: How to set up the Tapo camera
b) If the LED on the camera has no change, please send us the LED status on the camera and the changes of the LED when resetting it.
3. What's the model number of your router?

Hi,
If you are sure the reset operation is no problem but the camera does not respond to it, you can try to contact your retailer or local team to check if your camera is under warranty.

@Solla-topee sadly this doesn't help. After powering on the camera, it instantly boots into privacy mode and the LED doesn't light up. Pressing the reset button for 10 seconds also has no effect. The camera simply does nothing. No movement, no flashing LED. Nothing.
