Been punished by Tapo for daring asking them to stop sending popup messages asking me to subscribe.

So they stop me viewing recordings of the night because they know it is of a pet suffering from fits to adjust the medicine. How horrible is this.

Childishly they also stop for me to snapshot the message about the subscription, every time I try they send a popup to say snapshots not authorised in the tapo app because if privacy.

Privacy they don't actually totally commit as we know.

So looking for another manufacturer and I surely won't advice people to carry on purchasing tapo, who by the way was almost popped out for privacy concerns.

So here we are, I was very naive and purchased 4 tapo cameras and 4 plugs I wish I had not now.

Hi,
1. It's regrettable to hear about your experience when using the Tapo camera, however, we won't restrict the use of the camera because of your request to stop sending pop-up messages to subscribe to the Tapo Care service.


If you can't view video recordings on the Tapo app, please confirm the following information to locate the issue.
  1) Have you inserted an SD card into the camera to store the camera's video recordings?
  2) Generally, on the camera's Playback & Download > Playback > SD card page, you can watch the video recordings on that day after selecting the date. If you can't watch the video recordings stored on the SD card on the Playback page, what error message or phenomenon can you see?

 

Note: We provide a Tapo Care free trial for each camera. If you enable the free trial for a camera, the camera's detection video clips can be stored on our cloud server for 30 days. If you cancel it before it expires, no more video clips will be stored on our cloud server after you cancel the free trial.

2. We take our users' privacy very seriously. We do not allow snapshots of the Tapo app > Me page because this page contains your account information. If you click on other pages, such as the Me > Tapo Care page, there is no problem taking a screenshot of this page.

  @Solla-topee Enough with your suggestion to check if "our" sd card is functioning well. I've changed to different sd card multiple times now. The problem just resolve temporarily
