User defined default position
Everyday my camera is looking at the floor. When I use the app to lift the camera to the default position it claims is reached is upper limit. Which of course is stupid as it literally can go up into itself.
As i have two of these i know that the one that has the fault is in fact faulty. No amount of rebooting. Resetting the default, chosen, return position, is changing the cameras behaviour. It will 100 % be facing down and not watching the area i need it to monitor. After a reboot, it defaults to a position higher than it was allowing before the reboot. Not, of course facing the angle i want it or set it.
It would be nice, dare I say easier if tplink app had a set the default return position button, toggle switch. That actually worked. Both my cameras have been replaced twice each... one started off fine then started this stupid behaviour after the latest update. The one that works now, updated itself BEFORE I set any parameters during installation and works fine.
This faulty one has a mind of its own and seemingly has a corrupt bios. Looks like I'm going to have to warranty return it! As Amazon will not replace a fifth camera.
