Model: Tapo C425  
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.25

Have a C425 with SD Micro card.

Detections and recordings have worked fine for about 6 months, but now the detections are no longer recorded.

 

Lots of capasity left on SD card, and have restartet camera several times.

Have tried to format, but formatting seems not working.(timeout?).

 

Any ideas?

Hi,
1. Please refer to the following instructions to enable the Notification feature on the camera, and then check if you can receive notifications when the camera detects events.
How to configure the Notification feature for the Tapo devices on the Tapo app
 

2. If you can't receive detection notifications, the camera's detection feature may not be working. Please refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
 

3. If you can receive detection notifications but no video is recorded on the SD card, please refer to the instructions below to check if your recording settings are correct.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card
 

By the way, if you fail to format your SD card, please refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot.
What should I do if the SD card cannot be formatted/recognized?

Double-check the recording schedule. Have you tried to change another sd card?
