Local Network 5 minute streaming limit for shared devices
I have a C210 device on my account. I am the primary user and account holder, and the device is shared with my wife via the Tapo app. We are both on the same local network as the C210 and the viewing of the stream is required whilst we are on the network only, not remotely, and via the Tapo app with no intermediate services.
For my device, the stream is continuous and runs indefinitely for my device (iPhone 12). The stream is limited to 5 minutes before pausing and requiring user interaction to continue proceed on my wife's phone (iPhone XR). I have checked all iOS settings for the Tapo app (e.g. Local Network = ENABLED) and all are the same on both devices. This C210 device is used as a baby monitor, so the stream pausing behaviour is an issue.
I can see the documentation and troubleshooting refers to continuous streams when viewed via the remote cloud server, or via other intermediate smart home apps and services, but that doesn't apply here - we are viewing through the app directly, whilst on the same local network, with all the device settings correct. Nowhere in the product documentation, FAQs, help sites, forums etc., can I see any mention of this limit being imposed for shared devices only. It also seems arbitrary to even do that.
I am an electronic and software engineer and have been through the manuals and attempted troubleshooting and reviewing all setttings and options. Is this an undeclared limitation, or can this be remedied? Many thanks in advance for you help.
