Tapo C100 Live View Stuck on "No Activity 30 Days" Despite Recent Clips & Alerts (FW 1.3.4)
Hi Tapo community and support team,
I've spent the last couple days chasing this frustrating bug on my Tapo C100 ("Rat Cam" for pest monitoring), and nothing's budging the "last activity" summary on the Live View screen. It stubbornly says "No activity in the past 30 days," even though:
-I got a motion detection notification yesterday.
-Playback shows the exact event: Detected on 2025-11-07 at 01:31:12 (yellow marker on timeline, thumbnail with running figure icon—see screenshot).
-Other Tapo cameras in the same app/account show their recent activity correctly (e.g., "2 days ago").
Detection and recording are clearly working—it's just the quick-glance banner/metadata that's stuck or not syncing for this one camera.
Device Details:
Model: C100
Hardware Version: 5.0
Firmware: 1.3.4 (confirmed latest; no update available)
App: Latest version on Android
Storage: SD card (motion-triggered, formatted, not full)
Network: Stable Wi-Fi, camera online
What I've Tried (Exhaustively):
Manual timeline refresh (pull-down) and checked Activity Center—event shows there, but not in Live View summary.
Power cycled camera (unplugged 30s) and router.
Verified/toggled Detection settings: Motion on, medium sensitivity, full detection zone, notifications enabled; toggled off/on to force refresh.
Checked Storage & Recording: SD ejected/reinserted/formatted in-app; clips download/play fine.
App fixes: Cleared cache, full reinstall (offload/uninstall), force-close/reopen.
Cross-device test: Tried on another phone—same issue.
Network test: Switched to mobile data; no change.
Home/Away modes: Disabled temporarily; tested fresh motion (banner didn't update after 2+ mins).A factory reset has also been carried out to no avail and i'm out of ideas. Is this a known firmware 1.3.4 bug with timeline metadata? Or something backend-related?
Appreciate any insights—rat season waits for no one! Thanks in advance.
