Hi

 

I recently purchased a Tapo C560WS after checking the Video Compression specifications for this device on your website, Specifications - Tapo C560WS.

 

The specifications state the camera supports H.264, however the high definition stream from the camera uses H.265 and I can find no option to change this.

 

Please advise how I can change the compression of this stream to use H.264.

For the reported phenomenon, please click here to email our technical support team with the following information for further assistance. A new firmware may be released for your camera to use H.264.
  1. A description of the phenomenon you are experiencing.
  2. The MAC address of your camera. You can find it in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.
  3. Others (such as the third-party RTSP/ONVIF app you used if there is one).

I contacted support as requested and my issue is now resolved.

 

Beta firware has been pushed to my camera and stream is now using H.264 as expected.

Same problem for me sad

 

Do we have to wait for a future update to have the choice between h264 or h265 for 4k as an official option ?
