Hi! I have a Tapo D230S1 doorbell. I want a video call to be sent to my phone whenever the doorbell button is pressed, AND if there is human movement in front of the doorbell between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, I want to receive a notification and have the video recorded.
It seems to me that this logic isn’t built into the software, because if I disable notifications during the day (Notifications - Schedule), I don’t receive a call when the doorbell rings. Does anyone have a working solution for this? Setting up notifications from the hub as a Smart Action isn’t a solution, because that way I don’t receive an incoming call, just a notification.

In my opinion, a solution—and this would be very important given the battery drain—would be:
- Either allow the "notification activity type" value to be modified as a smart action (e.g., at 10:00 PM, activity type = person on, at 6:00 AM, activity type = none)
- Or make the ringtone (button press) a separate action with its own scheduling options, so that the call is not the same as the notification.

Hi,
On the Tapo D230's Device Settings > Notifications page, please enable Activity Notifications and check if there is an Activity Type option. If so, you can try the following settings:
  1) In the Activity Type, do not select any types. In the Schedule, select Always.
  2) Go to the Smart > Automation page to set automation entry, such as when the D230 detects a person, then send a notification, and the effective time is from 10 PM to 7 AM.

Then test whether you can receive video calls when someone presses the doorbell all day, and whether you receive notifications when the camera detects a person during the specific time period.

Best Regards

Thank you very much; it seems this solution works. Now the doorbell works continuously via video call on my phone, and in the evening, it activates when it detects human movement, sends a notification, and records.
Thank you very much for your help; I’ve seen similar questions in other forum threads, and I hope this helps them as well.
