Watermark on C200 after firmware update
After I updated my c200 camera there is a "Tapo" watermark in the bottom left corner.
How can I remove this? I bought this camera, not rented it. I shouldn't have to see a permanent watermark on my stream.
How can I remove this?
edit :
This is the watermark I'm talking about:

update 21/12/24
Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback regarding the video watermark on tapo camera, this feature is now available in Tapo camera new firmware and new Tapo APP! This feature has been added on all current tapo camera models.
Below are the Firmware (most firmware released in May-July 2021) that added a switch for watermark / logo:
- ( IOS/Android) Tapo APP required: 2.3.33 and later version
- Tapo C310 V1/ V2 : 1.1.8 and later firmware
- Tapo C200/ TC70 V1 : 1.1.8 and later firmware
- Tapo C200 V2 : 1.1.9 and later firmware
- Tapo C100 V1: latest firmware
- TC60 V1: 1.1.9 and later firmware
- Tapo C210 V1 : 1.1.6 and later firmware
How to turn off the "Tapo" watermark the Tapo Cameras?
On Tapo App, go to Camera settings -> Advanced settings -> Toggle off the "Display Logo"
Note: try to force close app and reopen it if this option does not show up
We appreciate your patience as we work to get this to all !
If you still have any concern with it, please leave the model * hardware and firmware version below, and share the camera MAC by private message, thank you.

It appears to be fixed now as there's a new option to remove it after the firmware (1.1.8 for C200) and app update (2.3.33), at least on my android device.
Firmware 1.1.8:
New option "Display Logo" in the "On-screen Display Settings":
It was active, after turning it off the watermark was removed from the App and the RTSP stream.
(I did force close the app and clear the cache a few minutes ago, so it may have been the trigger for the setting to appear.)

The C200 has indeed since the last firmware also an watermark.
See topic about C310 where i already started to complain about the watermark on the C310.

Yeah I saw your post but I wanted to bring more attention to this. It's unacceptable to have a watermark on a security camera.

@Smid Hello, I'm not OK having watermark's on my Camera feeds because I'm not paid to promote the label/company !
AND 2 and the more important is that : TPLINK this is a Security issue you are showing to the world what type/ brand of camera we are using ... YOU EXPOSE OUR NETWORKS to attacks !!!!
Showing tapo brand is like showing our MAC/IP addresses !!!! it's so easy to hack when you know the brand (you should know this more than us users)
Please Fix this ASAP

@tapo
I also made the mistake to think that a firmware update would give an improvement.
Now there's suddenly a watermark in the video and it is terrible!!
Please get it out of the firmware again, this make we want to bash and smash this product!
Hopefully you care about your customers and take out that terrible watermark!

At least give the customer/users the option to desactivate the watermark, and let them choose whether to let the 'tapo' logo or not !
And speaking watermark why we can't use ours ? why tapo ? why not our own logo ? (just a thinking)
So I think this is a 'forced ad' for your camera ! (hope I'm wrong)
Again & like a user said in this thread ... listen to your customers, and delete the watermark or let us choose to activate it or not !
