Hello.

 

I have selected smart mode in the night mode setting on the C520WS in the Tapo app.
It used to switch to full color mode when motion is detected at night, but suddenly it no longer switches to full color mode.

 

The LED light is working correctly, as the LED light turns on when the light is manually turned on.
Also, when full color mode is selected in the night mode setting, the LED light turns on only at night, so the illuminance sensor is also functioning correctly.

 

Yesterday I updated the firmware from 1.2.6 Build 231130 to 1.2.7 Build 240306 with no improvement.

 

Please let me know how to solve this issue.

Hi, 

Please help confirm the following information for the reported case.

 

1. You can try to factory reset the camera, reconfigure it, and then check if the case will be solved.

 

2. If the problem remains, can you share a video showing the camera works in the night mode and the smart mode is selected, but the spotlight does not turn on when detecting events?

Thank you for your quick reply.
Resetting to factory settings solved the problem.
I will not upgrade the firmware for a while and will continue to use it as is.
