How to disable Avira requests?
How to disable Avira requests?
So I just purchased the Deco X90 and set everything up. Loving the speeds but noticed from Pi Hole the router makes a lot of requests out to *.avira.com and ifconfig.me. The latter appears to be for determining some information about its location and ip. The former appears to be related to their Homeshield line.
In the past 12 hours the router tried to call out to Avira 310,000+ times and ifconfig.me 50,000 times.
Anyway to disable this? If not then I'll be returning it. Thanks!

Hi, the frequent request has been optimized on the latest version of Deco X90.
Can I have some screenshots of these Avira requests on Archer AX73?
Thank you very much.

Hello @Kevin_Z , Quick question, any specific reason this release is still not available on the official support website for US. Even though I am from India and bought AX73 locally, the router has US version. Indian portal displays EU firmware which has been updated but if I check the TP link US portal, it still shows Archer AX73(US)_V1_211222.
Thanks,
Varun

Current Firmware on the Deco XE5300 is 1.1.4 Build 20220328 Rel. 82537
I am still getting 20-40 DNS requests to Avira each second.
Current Firmware at the support page: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3331/ is version 1.1.3 Build 20220322
Am I supposed to install the earlier firmware? Why does the later build that I am currently running not fix the problem?
Thanks

Update:
The latest firmware-1.1.5 for Deco XE75 and XE5300 has released several days ago which has fixed this issue.
Please try to update to the new firmware-1.1.5 via Deco APP directly.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@Varun5 I guess the local web admin may forgot to upload the latest official firmware for the US version, we will remind them to confirm and update. Please check the website later.
