@TP-Link ever since i updated to 1.6.0 my tv,s and my phones will disconect and when trying to reconect they say ip error. i have to reboot my decos in order to get conected, also the conections seem slower, more unstable and have less range, i have a 3 deco system in mesh mode with only the main conected by wire

@TP-Link Does the new firmware have a new owner setting like others yet? My son setup this when he lived here with us and now he has new ones at his place. I need to become owner but did not want to do a full reset. Is there a way I can do this? If it has then he can just log in and change from app.

No the M5 does not have that functionality. IMHO I don't believe it ever will

Hi, It may not has a new owner account but it allows to change the owner without a reset.
And later if needed, you could also set up your son's account as the manager:
How to change the owner account on Deco APP
How to add manager account of Deco?
What’s the difference between an owner account and a manager account?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@TP-Link David,
As "Seatocl" and I both mentioned that option is not there. Yes it may be an option on many but not ours.
David-TP sent a link to a document that says; "You could change the owner account on the Deco APP without resetting the whole Deco network. First of all, please upgrade the Deco APP and your Deco’s Firmware to the latest version.
NOTE:
1). For the models of Deco which still do not support change the owner account, the update of their firmware will be released in the future. Please keep an eye on the Deco APP."
I believe Item#1 under the NOTE: is specifically what we are referring to. So your response; "it allows to change the owner without a reset.", is not helping in our instances. And is not the full truth.
I am running the Deco App version 2.14.2.
I have a Deco M5 mesh on Firmware Version 1.6.0 Build 20220525 Rel. 48298.
The "Change Network Owner" option is not there. Just "Set Main Deco", "Delete This Network" and "Reboot All"
We await the "future Firmware Uupdate" that resolves this oversight.

Hi, Thanks for your time and patience.
I have done some tests yesterday and also checked with the senior engineers.
Deco M5 1.6.0 on Android 2.14.2 or IOS 2.14.5 still has the option to change the owner account.
But in some cases, you might see this option on the APP:
1. There are one or more Deco units that are offline on the Deco APP.
2. It is a mixed Mesh network and some models, like Deco M3W, still don't support this feature.
So if all your Deco units are online and the firmware is above 1.5.0, please disconnect/reconnect to the WiFi, then close/open the Deco APP again to have a check.
While if the issue continued, please help us get the APP log.

Is this 1.6 version considered stable ? I see many complains in the forum. As me and my wife are both working from home I'm hesitant to update if will introduce issues to the current stable wifi.
Is there simple rollback option in case something is not stable ?
Thanks
