Websites getting timed out in TP-Link XC220 G3v

I bought this TP Link XC220 G3v recently.
But the issue is, many websites are not opening in this ONU, they are getting timed out. I have tried these methods:
- Changed the DNS in both LAN & WAN.
- Changed the MTU to optimal MTU by examining the MTU supported by my ISP.
- Disabled IPv6
- Upgraded the firmware from 1.7 to 1.8.
But still the issue persisted. And to clarify this issue happened only on particular IP addresses on this device only. I have Digisol DG6821AC ONU and with the same IP there is no issue. Another thing I noticed that when this is happening on IP A let's say 1.1.1.10 (NOTE one thing that at this time the website opens if I use a VPN and also without a VPN I get ping and traceroute responses seamlessly of the website which is not opening), then after several times of disconnecting & connecting the WAN interface, when that IP 1.1.1.10 is reassigned it had no problems (without VPN), the websites opened without and issues. Same IP first not opening later opening, only on this TP Link XC220G3v ONU.

Using MTU: 1460 (default: 1480), DNS: 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1 in both LAN & WAN. This seems to have solved the issue.
But why on earth the ONU is not setting the MTU automatically when setting the connection?
I discovered this MTU while pinging github.com, since it is the first website not opening on any other MTU value except 1460 & I noticed it during a ping test with fragmented offsets.
