Firmware Version: 1.0.15 Build 20240117 Rel. 52274

Hello,

I am in the process of setting-up my new BE85, and I am going through several issues that I am trying to solve.

I have noticed a king of "ghost" wifi network created by my BE router : The SSID is composed of a serie of letters zEQQ1x*****P9. I am sure that this network is generated by my Tp-Link router as it stops when I turn off the BE85 and the signal strength corresponds to the location of the router.

Have any of you encountered such issue and any advices to get rid of this unwanted BE85 wifi network ?

Thanks for your help !

PS : It appears that I only see this network with my iPhone 15 Pro, so this should be a WiFI 6E signal

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

This unknown SSID is used for 6GHz backhaul. It is hidden by default. After enabling the 6Ghz Wi-Fi, it will no longer be hidden in order to help the 6GHz client quickly discover the 6G main SSID.

The 6GHz Backhaul SSID comes encrypted by default and is free from any security vulnerabilities. Mobile devices are unable to connect to it.

Best regards.

@David-TP  Hi David, thank you for your message. As I use the DECO BE85 as standalone, I don't use any satellites, how can I disable this 6 Ghz signal ?

Thanks a lot, Best regards

Hi, Thanks for the update.

I'm afraid that the 6GHz Backhaul can't be disabled yet even there is only one BE63.

Best regards.
