Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Deco X60(US)_V1_1.5.3 Build 20231226

recently i rebooted my Deco X60. (2 pack) due to overall slow speed and on reboot it wen t to red light.   I have tried to http boot it and rerun the firmware update but th e instructions don[t work.   I did get the unit to  blue flashing state without. updating the firmware.   i tried with the phone app to get it online, which it did for 5 minutes then it. just keeps flaking out.   it goes offline nd the deco-xxxx network goes on and offline repetedly preventing any updates.     there is no firmware.uploader at 192.168.0.1.  but i do get the redirect to the mobile app on 192.168.68.1.

at this point i would be happy to flash this to openwrt or ddwrt. if I could find a compatible version.     Any assistance on this to get these working.

Hi @jafo-0u812,

Welcome to the TP-Link community!

I'm sorry you're encountering this unusual situation with your Deco X60.

What is the hardware version of your Deco X60?

Have you tried swapping one of the satellite Deco X60 nodes with the main one and designating it as the main via the Deco app?

Have you tried swapping out the Ethernet cable between the main Deco and your Internet source (e.g., your modem)? This could help rule out a failing cable as the potential culprit.

  @Ryan

These are V1.0 devices (see subject)

I have the same issue with the satellite device.     They are both bricked and only will show a red flashing light.

I used the same cable to connect my spare router to get online and it works fine with the other router so I know it is not a cable issue.

Is there a way that i can get in and tftp or serial cable onto the device to push a new firmware onto it?

I tried to get to the http page to upload teh firmware with tftp but it doesn't seem to work for this device.   I did find that the device comes up with a 192.168.68.1  address but it redirects you to the app.
