Beta Software Firmware 1.4.0 for Deco XE75/XE5300/XE75 Pro V2/V3 Adds Wi-Fi Access Control, WireGuard VPN & More!
Hey Everyone,
We’re pleased to invite members of our community to experience early access to beta firmware for the Deco models listed below.
This firmware brings a multitude of significant enhancements, including Firmware Auto Update, WireGuard VPN, Fixed WAN Port, Captive Portal for Guest Network, and more!

Firmware Features and Enhancements:
- Added Camera Security Feature.
- Added Whitelist/ Wi-Fi Access Control with support for both Allow List and Block List.
- Introduced Captive Portal for Guest Network.
- Added support for Firmware Auto Update.
- Introduced ECO Mode 1.0 to save power.
- Support for WireGuard VPN added.
- Support added for Integrated third-party VPN services.
- Added support for limiting client speeds.
- Added the ability to assign a specific port as the WAN port.
- Optimized client type recognition.
- Added support for managing new Kasa and Tapo product categories (including light strips, multi-port outlets, etc.)
- Added Wi-Fi Network Mode function to enhance the overall performance of the 2.4 GHz band
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed the issue where Samsung devices could connect to the Deco WiFi but had near-zero network speeds.

- Please ensure your Deco app is fully up-to-date.
- This firmware cannot be directly downgraded to the previous versions.
- There will be an official firmware release in the future. If you are not comfortable using beta firmware, please wait for the official release or contact our support teams for assistance.
- Pre-release and Beta firmware should be used at your own discretion. We cannot guarantee the functionality of features or technical support for Pre-Release or Beta Firmware.

You said you had issues connecting the tv to networks in the past has it always been to tp-link routers or other brands as well? As for when the office version of the patch will come out, I'm not sure but as long as you have auto updates turned on when the official patch is out your router will download and install the official update automatically

Unfortunately there is no ETA on when this beta patch will be out as an official release. I can tell you that most US users have had good results with it. The main problems seems to be with non US deco's.

@HelpFixDecoApp I actually only had the router for about 2 weeks before updating to the beta. There weren't issues with the old version, but it was a short time period. Before this I previously had a sprctrum router that had no issues, and a nokia router that the tv disliked intermittently. I'm not sure what is causing the issue, but when the tv wont connect no amount of rebooting from either the router or tv will solve the issue. Then it'll randomly work one day, before eventually refusing to connect again.

First please access the Deco web UI by entering "tplinkdeco.net" in your browser. Navigate to Advanced > System > System Log, select "ALL" in the log type, and save the file to your local computer. Then follow the steps below making sure to attach the logs to the email.
I recommend sending an email to forumsupport.usa@tp-link.com with the following information:
