You said you had issues connecting the tv to networks in the past has it always been to tp-link routers or other brands as well? As for when the office version of the patch will come out, I'm not sure but as long as you have auto updates turned on when the official patch is out your router will download and install the official update automatically

Unfortunately there is no ETA on when this beta patch will be out as an official release. I can tell you that most US users have had good results with it. The main problems seems to be with non US deco's.
You can read about the problems they have been having here and then decide if you want to try it or not.
Thanks

@HelpFixDecoApp I actually only had the router for about 2 weeks before updating to the beta. There weren't issues with the old version, but it was a short time period. Before this I previously had a sprctrum router that had no issues, and a nokia router that the tv disliked intermittently. I'm not sure what is causing the issue, but when the tv wont connect no amount of rebooting from either the router or tv will solve the issue. Then it'll randomly work one day, before eventually refusing to connect again.

If I add an XE75 Pro V1 to my network of XE75 Pro V2's running the new beta, will I lose the "Wi-Fi Network Mode function" for the 2.4 GHz?
If I keep the V2 as the master, will the V1 just follow suite or will the option simply disappear?

So, I have a question about the beta too. We can disable the 2.4Ghz backhaul on this one (but not yet control the 2.4G bandwidth), but, what happens if I have S7's in my network as well, which I do. They don;t have this feature, and will still be trying to talk on 2.4Ghz? Will they still work over the 5G? How will this be handled? Thanks.

Yes, you will likely lose access to the "Wi-Fi Network Mode" function for the 2.4 GHz band when adding a V1 unit to a V2 network on the new beta firmware.
This feature (which enhances 2.4 GHz performance, e.g., via options like "Stable Mode" or channel/bandwidth controls) was added specifically in beta firmware 1.4.x (e.g., 1.4.999) for XE75 Pro V2/V3 hardware. It is not listed as available for V1 hardware in the release notes or related discussions. V1 units run on different firmware branches and may not support this advanced 2.4 GHz mode.
What Happens in a Mixed V1 + V2 Network?
TP-Link Deco systems allow mixing different models and hardware versions in the same mesh. They are generally compatible, but:
- The main Deco (router) determines the available features in the app for the entire network. Features are limited to what the main unit supports.
tp-link.com
- If you keep a V2 as the main Deco (recommended for best performance and to retain as many new features as possible), the V1 should join successfully as a satellite node and "follow suit" for basic operation.
- However, the Wi-Fi Network Mode option for 2.4 GHz will likely disappear or become unavailable in the app because the network must accommodate the V1's limitations. The system falls back to a common feature set. V1 may not fully utilize or expose the beta's 2.4 GHz enhancements.
In short: The option will probably vanish from the app once the V1 is added and the network stabilizes, even with a V2 main unit. Performance on 2.4 GHz should still work normally (just without the new mode controls).
Recommendations
- Set/keep a V2 as the main Deco after adding the V1 (use the app's "Set Main Deco" option if needed). This maximizes features and performance.
- Test the addition carefully — add the V1, check the app for the 2.4 GHz settings, and monitor stability/performance.
- If the new mode is critical, consider sticking with all V2 units or waiting for official (non-beta) firmware that might broaden support.
- Firmware on mixed networks can behave unpredictably with betas; you may need to update/downgrade units individually if issues arise.
