Model: Tapo C425
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.26

Notifications of personal detection are stated twice in a row on both my C425 and my C120, Hardware Version 1.0, Firmware 1.4.3.

The Hardware Version for the C425 is 1.20 which is not listed above as an option.

The announcements come through my Amazon Shows. Originally, the announcement/notification that someone was detected would only be a single time,

But now, all of a sudden, it is announced twice in a row  on all of my Shows through the house.

The first announcement says:  Person detected at Back Porch

2nd announcement says:         Someone was detected at your Back Porch

Can anyone help me figure out how to get it back to just one announcement instead of two?

  @Mary-mare

Hi,
Just double-confirm: is the phenomenon that the Tapo C425 and Tapo C120 both detect a person, then the Echo Show announces twice? Or only the Tapo C425 or Tapo C120 detects a person, but the Echo Show announced twice?

Will you receive two notifications on your phone when the Tapo C425 or Tapo C120 detects a person? If so, please go to the Smart > Automation page to check if there are any relevant entries. You can remove or disable the automation entries for a try.

Best Regards
