This is AMAZING. Hope to see these colors come to all the other switches in the future, especially the black color.
In the pictures the black color appears to be a matte finish, is that correct? Or is it glossy in person?

Hey @liam12,
Our teams are always looking to add additional variations and versions. Keep an eye out for announcements throughout the year - as we have many exciting things planned!
Both the Light Almond and Black Plates have a Gloss Finish. While not the best representation, I was able to take a quick picture of the black switch plate:

@Riley_S Thanks for taking the picture that helps a lot!
You might want to reach out to whoever does the product pages as the black one especially appears to be matte on the website, but good to know they currently are a gloss finish.
Excited to see what else comes out this year.

@Riley_S Any chance you can share if/when three-way switches would be available in light almond? I think it would be lovely, and I'm ready to switch my whole house to Kasa!

Hey @just2Bjulie,
I am not sure to be honest. We have a few switches and variations released over the upcoming months, but I am not sure about 3-way compatibility and a light almond variation. I may have more information in a few weeks, but nothing as of right now.
There have been a few requests for 3-way switches, whether for different features or styles, so we may have something in the works, but I have not heard anything. I will try and talk with our product team to determine what devices will receive multiple variations in the future.

Thanks for adding the options for Almond and Black!
For anyone buying these dimmers... realize that the new almond and black colors are set up DIFFERENTLY from the existing WHITE dimmers.
The WHITE switch is set up using the option "Smart Dimmer (WiFi)"
The ALMOND and BLACK dimmers are set up "Smart Dimmer (BLE)" and use bluetooth rather than the connecting your phone to the switch's wifi.
This is actually stated in the quickstart guide, but if you're like me and already have several similar devices that are configured wifi... and don't carefully ready the quick-start guide... you may miss that important nugget.
I only have the dimmers and don't know if this also applies to the switches.

Hey @wamcneil,
Many of our devices are moving towards using Bluetooth Setup, especially since it has become more and more popular due to things such as the Matter Protocol supporting BT Provisioning, and it usually provides a much more streamline experience. While your app should guide you through the correct setup process, you can always check what setup method your model will use by checking its specifications.
If a device supports Bluetooth setup, you will see something like this in your product's specifications or datasheet:

@Riley_S Thanks. I figured the new colors must be on a new revision of the hardware. And I do agree the BLE setup is a nice improvement!

Does this mean that the new bluetooth enabled devices can be setup in a 2.4/5.0 GHz dual-band environment without needng to turn the 5.0GHz band off and on?
