Update the Beta firmware and add the latest Beta firmware for ER605 v2/ v2.6, which have added the fix that Omada Router may wrongly report the clients status to the Omada Controller, causing the issue that offline clients were still shown up in the Controller Clients list, and connected to the Omada Router (instead of the SSID or network). Issue Description/Phenomenon:
Recently we received feedback that the DHCP Server failed with 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 firmware, the issue may manifest as follows:
- DHCP Server won't provide dynamic IP addresses to end clients in some cases.

(1) simply clicking Save on the Edit Network page will bring the DHCP server to work for a few hours.
(2) reboot doesn't help, the issue doesn't exist with the router firmware 1.1.1.
- Some clients are assigned the same IP address, causing they cannot access the internet.

in my post above (from my ER7206 which is far more capable then either version of ER605), you can see the CPU behaviour on the Sep 18th build.
On a router, with no VPNs set up, nothing connected apart from laptop over ethernet, and the WAN port. Also confirmed by another user on his 605's and my own 605v2. There were no config changed between flashing each firmware version. Laptop not being used other than to gather the images for the screenshot.
Also, you mention your routers are running 1.2.1 - I am discussing the 1.2.2 beta builds released Sep 2nd and 18th

@GRL I mention v1.2.1 because I compare results from latest stable which i v1.2.1 with beta 1.2.2.

Seems it is not more capable than a working er605 without cpu spikes, whatever specifications tell you.

means it is not about er7206 or if it is more powerfull than er605, but about something else.
Since you ignore suggestion to check which process causes spikes, I guess you do not want to know it at all, seems I was a fool trying to help, guess best is if you simply wait until it is released or stay in contact with support supplying them with the information they require, until then downgrade your firmware to working one and if you have issues with dhcp, then use static ip's on your devices until it is fixed.

I dont have an omada controller so not sure how exactly i would be able to see what is causing the CPU spikes on an otherwise pretty "factory" configured router with the only difference being firmware between the two, especially when there is no traffic....And, considering the noticed behavior happens immediately after flashing the Sep 18th build would seem to indicate pretty darn clearly that the issue lies with the firmware, not any config. You can clearly see the difference in the two screenshots i have supplied. You can even see the timestamps of when i flashed between the versions.

@GRL when you factory reset with your beta, do you experience spikes? Almost factory settings is not factory settings, 1 bit can change a lot.
You can test it with controller by simply installing controller on your pc if it is just about testing, it is not about if controlled by omada controller or not, it seems that some process spikes and if you run any process/task manager, you will see which process it is, from there on if there is ability to disable it, then disable it.
When you revert to 1.2.1, do you have any spikes and if not, why are you not using it?

I am reverted to the 2nd sep build that doesnt have spikes, i posted the screenshots to back up what i, and another user were saying about the 18th build.
This was on a factory reset with just LAN dhcp range changed.

I dont have a mission critical network, i host my own NAS which i like to access from elsewhere, but i have a number of systems on test for various customers. So, im happy to test out new Betas as they are released.
And yes, have been in contact with support and sent over my configs, screenshots etc with a technician

Here is a disconnected, no-Wan, no traffic, factory reset no settings changed ER605 v2 with the same issue on the 18th sep build
No WiFi on the laptop. Pin-hole reset 605v2 (after flash) only login password set to access GUI

Is it possible to roll back to a previous version before 1.2.0 where there was no issue? Sounds like both these beta's are having issues with CPU and I'd like to not bring down the entire network.

Hi,
I also am using a ER605 v1, just updated to the 19th Sept beta and now getting this :
On previous versions i barely saw the CPUs move from 1%. This is on a 100megabit connection.
