Hi

 

I just bought the tapo c500 cameras. The one I put outside does not work. Tried to reset it 4 times. It still shows a fast blinking red light.

 

The others I have inside but it keeps apindong an alarm everytime there's movement,  every 2 seconds.  How do I disable this.

 

Also it says I need to do a firmware update but it does not allow me to. Gives an error

Hi,
1. Typically, you can press and hold the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset. On the Tapo C500 placed outside, do you mean the LED on it does not respond when you factory reset it? 

 

2. If you don't want the camera to alarm when it detects movement, on the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Alarm page, please disable this feature.

 

3. You can refer to Q2 in the following instructions to troubleshoot if you fail to update the camera's firmware.
