@Sunshine thank you for your reply.

I will try AP mode until AXE75's new firmware release.

Hi, please note that it requires both main router and the extender supporting EasyMesh ethernet backhual to use the ethernet backhaul, thus except for monitoring firmware update of AX12, please also monitor the RE550 extender.

I'm looking forward to.

Hi, Archer AXE75 doesn't support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul now, and we don't have advanced information about when it will support it, you coud monitor any new firmware update on the router Web GUI or Tether App.

For now, if you need to connect the two routers via Ethernet connection, you could consider to use the second router as AP mode.

I have an ax12 with re550 and I have it set for AP mode. So far it works but there are times when my connection stays with the AP upstairs.

I opted for the range extender because it looks cleaner than having a router on the floor but yeah, I am one of the suckers  unlucky people who thought ethernet backhaul is possible if both devices support easymesh/onemesh.

I guess we won't have this feature for a long time since it's one of the selling points of the more expensive Deco lineup. It sucks but hey, AP mode kinda works so I'll live with it for now. I hope one day we get this feature on more routers and range extenders.

Edit: Found out that there is a firmware update for AX12 that increased the stability of roaming when multiple access points are connected. I'll take it!

Trying to connect AX12 and AX55 using ethernet backhaul but still shows wireless connection between the 2 routers. Both on latest firmware. Any ideas?

@D_Tan As confirmed by ACHvass in this reply, AX12 doesn't support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul at the moment, so it cannot connect to the AX55 via Ethernet Backhaul:

AX53 will also receive new firmware to add the support for EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul very soon. Maybe next week. I will let you know once the new firmware is available. You may subscribe to this thread to get the updated info.

Thank you for all the updates @Kevin_Z!

When will AX53 V1 support ethernet backhaul? I have been waiting for this for months.

well maybe never, AX53v1 should be very similar to AX55v1 and AX53v2. They listed the other 2 and just left this one while it's still in retail in many countries. Very well play I'm leaving this brand, I could have bought items from another brand with Ethernet Backhaul supported 1 year ago but I got used to TP-Link ecosystem. And now look how they abandoned this product

@marrocksd Thank you for joining this conversation and requesting the new firmware for AX53v1.

There are currently no definite plans for whether or when the AX53v1 will receive new firmware to support Ethernet Backhaul. I will try to check with the related team once again and will update here if I get an update from them. You may subscribe to this thread to get the latest updates.

@Kevin_Z  Any updates from the team?

Are there any plans to add Ethernet Backhaul support for Archer AX53 v1.0? I bought AX53 to configure as the main router with old AX10 v1 as the satellite over ethernet. But did not check the HW version in the store and got ax53 v1 instead of planned v2( I hope it is possible to add ethernet backhaul support for Archer AX53 v1.0 by firmware update as it was done for ax10
