Some of our EasyMesh Wi-Fi routers have added support for establishing a seamless mesh network via EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul. You can now connect two or more EasyMesh devices together by wiring the satellite device to the main EasyMesh router. Please check for the updates on your router web GUI or Tether App for the new firmware, update and install the latest official firmware on the router to explore all the new features like EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.

Releases Notes for Archer C80/A8/C64, etc.:
New Features/Enhancement and Bug Fixes:
1. Improved EasyMesh features and added support for Ethernet Backhaul.
2. Fixed the bug that settings of DHCP server reset after the router reboots.
3. Fixed the bug that some wireless clients behind an extender are incorrectly identified as wired in client list.
4. Fixed the bug that could not bridge Wi-Fi using WPA3 encryption.
5. Fixed the bug that Network generates loops under specific scenarios.
6. Optimized packet filtering rules.

This firmware contains important updates for HomeShield Pro, and we strongly recommend all HomeShield Pro users upgrade to this firmware.
You will be unable to downgrade to the previous firmware version after updating this firmware.

What type of Ethernet cable are in use?
Should be Cat 5E at least 
Instead of Wireless mesh you could try ( 1 Gb ) powerline adapters to connect the RE705X.

I also noticed that my main router is connected to itself, seems the connection from router to satellite is looping back.

Thanks to @woozle and @Sunshine, they are both correct. Only when the main EasyMesh router and the satellite devices both support Ethernet Backhaul can you connect the satellite to the main with Ethernet cable. Otherwise, you would run into the issue you've experienced.
As of now (before RE705X receives new firmware to support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul), you can connect the 2 RE705X to the main AX72 via EasyMesh and build up a wireless backhaul. Or as you said, you can change the RE705X to AP mode and connect it to the AX72 via an Ethernet cable.

@Salyu What is the region version of your AX73 V1? EN/US/JP/TW? You may keep an eye on the EasyMesh Product List on the local website, which will be updated accordingly.
If the EasyMesh Product List displays Archer AX73 as PLANNED, that means both V1 and V2 are planned to support it. If it only lists Archer AX73 V2, that means V1 is not planned to support EasyMesh in the future.

@IamCenk As previously confirmed with the product team, AX6000 could be also included in the EasyMesh planned list. I will check with the website admins to see if they missed AX6000 when updating the list.

Is there a plan to support RE705X ethernet backhaul?
So the only way as of now to maximize the connection speed is to wire the RE705X using AP mode?

Hi, the range extender RE705X doesn't support Ethernet Backhaul, so if the EasyMesh network has been established via WiFi backhaul, please disconnect the Ethernet cable between the router and extenders, or there will be a network loop and cause issues.
