Hi, as long as the main router and satellite router both support Ethernet Backhaul, it will work, so since AX10 V1/V1.2/V2 supports Ethernet Backhaul, Easymesh via Ethernet Backhaul with 2 AX10 routers should work, for the configuration, please refer to this guide: How to Build an Ethernet Backhaul Using Two EasyMesh Routers

Hello! Just wanted to say thank you and give positive feedback about AX53 beta firmware. Works great with AX53 as main, and AX23 as ethernet backhaul satelite.

  @Kevin_Z in my setup I have a Archer AX10 firmware 1.3.9 Build 20230728 Rel. 45716 and a RE305 firmware 1.0.23 Build 230418 Rel.60395n and OneMesh isn't working.

If I setup the ethernet backhaul, my network is down!

The BR support says that AX10 hasn't support, but in this list, I see that AX10 has support.

Hi,

I can't say anything about the Archer AX10, but the RE305 with firmware version 1.0.23 does definitely not support Ethernet backhaul.

The RE315 V1 with firmware version 1.0.30 is currently the only range extender supporting Ethernet backhaul. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/644776

We can only hope that TP-Link releases a 1.0.30 firmware for the RE305 V4 soon.

Pleased to report i've got ethernet backhaul working with 2x Archer AX53's (v1, with beta firmware). I also have an RE705x (WiFi backhaul) which is working well.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback about AX53 V1 beta firmware, really happy that it works fine with the Ethernet Backhaul.

Hi, AX10 V1 or V1.20 does support Ethernet Backhaul already, here is the firmware release note, however, since your RE305 V4 doesn't support it as @woozle mentioned, you could only use wireless backhaul between them. And when they are already connected via wireless backhaul, if you connect Ethernet cable as well, there will be network loop, that is why your network will be down.

I was looking for some AP/Router for outdoor use and stumbled upon AEP113-outdoor . Will these device(s) ever get easy mesh? I understand it can be used as range extender or I can have it as standalone AP, but this I´d like to avoid .. is there any outdoor easymesh (ideally also eth backhaul) capable device in the product range .. ?

Hi, as far as I know, Omada EAP products have no plan to support EasyMesh at this moment. And they only support Omada Mesh which is not compatible with EasyMesh.

If you have further questions regarding Omada EAP products, you could check or start a new thread on WiFi Forums - Business Community
