Hi - Do you know if there are any plans for Ethernet backhaul on the AX18/AX1500 routers? Got a new(ish) BE9300 main router and purchased 2 AX18/AX1500 routers the other day to use as access points. Ok with using them as traditional APs but something more seamless would be nice. The hardware is the AX18(EU) V1.0 model.

Thanks,

Dylan.

@Dylan_G Apologize that we haven't got an advanced notice of when or whether AX18(EU) V1.0 will support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.sad

i have ax53 US v2 and cannot find another v2 for easy mesh.
All available are ax53 v1.
Please whether a v1 with pre release firmware work properly in easy mesh ethernet backhaul with a v2 and also support channels 149-161.

Since only us version support these channels.

Hello @Kevin_Z ,

I just upgraded my AX53 V1 (SG) to the official FW 1.4.3 Build 20250314 rel.78903(5347).
Ethernet Backhaul is finally working. It's been a long wait but it's here now.

One thing to note is that I have to wire the AX53 directly to my satellite AX23. If I introduce a network switch in between, the system reverts back to wireless backhaul.

Thank you, Kevin

@Neon1234XX What is the model number of the network switch?

Have you tested with shorter cables on both sides?

If shorter cables doesn't make a difference, I'm afraid it's the same case as reported by one of our Deco users here:

  @Kevin_Z @Neon1234XX

try TP-Link switch model TL-SG105.

i ran into same problem between AX72 (Main) and 2 AX53 as satellite. After calling TP-Link support they suggested this switch as being compatible with Wi-Fi 6 protocol. (I also had D-Link switch before - donated the D-Link switch to charity).

after buying this TL-SG105 switch, problem resolved. My current connection is:

AX72 (main) LAN cable (from LAN port) to switch, then 2 LAN cables from switch to each of the AX53 satellites .

@Neon1234XX So I assume you're in the same situation as Eddie_Can-Bra.indecision

You may consider purchasing a TL-SG105 as suggested by Eddie_Can-Bra.

Hello  @Kevin_Z ,

Yes, I'm in the same situation as Eddie.
It's not an issue right now. My satellite and network switch are in the same room.
