Moderator Note:
1. The availability of DoH and/or DoT may vary by region even for the same model. Please check your local website for more information.
2. The above list might not include all models and hardware versions. It is recommended to keep watching the firmware releases for your router, as all the newly supported features will be listed in the patch notes if/when it is added to your version.
3. DoH would not be available when the router works in Access Point mode. Visit this FAQ to know more about the difference between Access Point Mode and Router Mode.
Introduction and Configuration
DoH/DoT Introduction
DoH (DNS over HTTPS) and DoT (DNS over TLS) are two methods that enhance the security and privacy of DNS queries in network communications.
DoH encrypts DNS queries within HTTPS traffic, making them indistinguishable from regular web traffic and difficult to monitor.
DoT uses a dedicated TLS connection for DNS messages, ensuring they are secure from eavesdropping and tampering.
DoH/DoT Configuration
You can go to Advanced > Network > Internet page to enable DoH or DoT.
- For AX and BE series, refer to the screenshots below.
- For AC models, refer to this screenshot:
Note: There are 3 built-in DoH Servers: dns.quad9.net, dns.google, and cloudflare-dns.com, you can choose one at a time.
For more details about the DoH and/or DoT configuration, please refer to How to Configure DoH/DoT on a TP-Link Wireless Router.

Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V3.2
Firmware Version: 1.0.16 Build 20230828 rel.44667
It's been so long we are still waiting, V3.2 is one of the best seller in Indian region.
I am writing to request for the urgent implementation of DNS over HTTPS (DoH) support for your router. As one of the top-selling routers in India and also the best-rated one, I believe that enabling this feature will greatly benefit your customers in terms of security and privacy.
DoH is a protocol that encrypts DNS queries and responses, making them more secure against interception and manipulation by third parties. With the increasing prevalence of cyber attacks and surveillance, it is important that users have access to this feature to protect their online activities.
I urge you to consider this request and prioritize the implementation of DoH support for your router. Thank you for your attention.

Please chat with the software team and any project manager to determine when the requested support will be added to the Archer GX90. We are patinte but we are not going to be siting here waiting for months hopping to hear back from support!

Bought an Archer AX53 (v1) a few days ago, and I was happy to see it has Device Isolation for IoT devices, but I was pretty disappointed when I could not find DoH.
