I use the camera as an outdoor camera. To avoid false alarms, I have already switched off motion detection. However, the camera also regularly gives false alarms when detecting people. I save the videos on an SD card. This problem seems to occur at night, in light wind and rain. The sensitivity level was set to 6 (centre). I am trying to reduce the level, but of course I still want to recognise people reliably.

Hi,
Do you mean the Tapo C310 has Person Detection enabled only, and it may detect something else as a person at night, in light wind and rain scenarios?

 

If so, please confirm the following information for the detection issue.
  1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page and send us a picture of this page. Please also check the sensitivity value of the enabled detection types.
 
  2. Could you please send us the video showing no person but saying a person was detected?
You can upload the video and picture to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate links to download them and send me(@Solla-topee) the links via a private message.
