@David-TP I have a few questions.
1) I went to download the firmware for 1.2.0 for my AU device but got this message: "Please upgrade firmware/software from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it may cause upgrade failure or mistakes and be against the warranty." Can you please confirm that despite downloading the firmware from https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-be85/v1/ and not https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/download/deco-be85/ that this will not void or affect my Warranty for my device?
2) With the above in mind I am now a lot more skeptical about downloading this firmware and wonder if and when TP-Link will add it specifically under the other locales directly. Could you please comment on this and provide assurance that each region will be updated?
3) If no plans exist to do this could we have it that case explained why? I believe that this if left with action may cause potential confusion for Deco owners specifically relying on the Deco App itself for updates which does not present the latest firmware potentially leaving them without the latest functions, features or at worst open to potential security vulnerabilities.
4) Can you please confirm if the Deco App bases its update function off the users local region or does it point to another source? If this is the case couldnt users in local regions matching what you have mentioned EU/US/AU/CA just be pointed to the English firmware version under the Deco App?

Hi, Deco has a firmware upgrade protection mechanism. When it detects an unmatched version, it would prevent the firmware from uploading to the hardware. The 1.2.0 firmware from the EU sites works for the AU hardware, and it will not void the warranty.
The local site will upload similar versions later. It takes an extra procedure and needs more time. I can't say for sure when it will be finally uploaded.
OTA firmware upgrade on the Deco APP depends on several factors, including the region code, MAC address, Hardware ID, and the Minimum supported firmware version, among others. Occasionally, there are region-customized modifications. So not all firmware versions on EN sites are suitable for multiple region codes. Downloading firmware from the local site is always the top choice. If users are in a rush or want to try out the latest version early, they could download the version from the EN site on the condition that the technical support has confirmed that the firmware is compatible.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Still no update for the BE95, have you heard or seen anything on them being updated?
It's been more than 7 months since they were last updated.

@David-TP are there going to be any updates for the BE95, or are they no longer supported?
Be nice to know either way.

@David-TP I've noticed since updating the internet speed test shows my 2000/2000 line as download of 1.3gbps and upload 1.9gbps
I've confirmed using a device on the network I am getting 1.9 upload and download, so it looks like just the BE85 is seeing this incorrect now...
It was perfectly fine before on 1.1.1

OK, so its Saturday morning here in Australia and I just wanted to advise that my Firmware Update has gone textbook perfect.
Both units have successfully updated to the latest version and the only issue I had was with my Reverse Cycle Ducted Aircon Controller (Daikin SkyFi) requiring a reset to connect to the network (although its a piece of crap so the fault is likely on its end and not the Deco's).
I can also confirm that the Connection Preference system looks greatly enhanced with devices now appearing to utilize a much better intelligence for connecting to devices that they are physically closer to. This was a bit of an issue previously mainly with IOT devices connecting to the furthest away BE85 Access Point (Mainly my Sonos ERA 100 Satellite Speakers) however looks to have been smartened up a bit... so good work on that.
I look forward to future updates from TP-LINK in relation to these devices as well as feature improvements down the track.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log:
Altogether with the APP log, can you also add some screenshots of the SpeedTest insight/history of" Test Internet Speed" on the Deco APP?
By the way, may I know your internet service provider?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.
