Tapo C110 v2.0 & C510W v2.0 - Local Access Only Issue (Forum Ref: 623524)
Hi Support Team,
I’m reporting a remote access issue with two of my newly purchased Tapo cameras. Starting 30th July 2025, both devices started displaying the message: "This smart device can only be controlled locally" when accessed remotely.
Affected Devices:

Tapo C110 (v2.0)

Tapo C510W (v2.0)
Other cameras in the same setup (Tapo C110 v3.0) work perfectly.
Network Setup:

Main Router: Mercusys MR90X v1.0 (PPPoE with Google DNS)

Mesh Nodes:
-
MR70X (v1.0) – Second Floor
-
ME50G (v1.0) – First Floor
-
-
Access Point: MR50G (v1.0) – Ground Floor
Affected cameras are on MR70X and ME50G nodes.
Troubleshooting Performed:

Factory reset, new setup with strong signal (RSSI -45/-54)

Static IPs + Google DNS (8.8.8.8)

LAN speed >1Gbps, internet 300Mbps

Reset, power cycles, proximity tests

Attempted activation of 30-day Tapo Care – failed with verification error

Verified connection via router admin panel

Tried switching to Tapo Hub H200 – same issue
