Hello everyone,

I owe a Tapo c232 and other tapo cameras but my c232 has been giving my headaches for the past 2 weeks. It will not connect to the internet wirelessly or even wired. This happened when my camera and rounter was accidentally unplugged. When it came back on my camera was solid red and I had to reset the camera and reinstall it. But when I did that it has been stuck on amber ever since.

What I've done.
Reset the router
Reset the camera
Reinstalled the camera
Set DNS to 8.8.8.8
Reinstalled the app
Unplug and repowered the camera
Unplug and repowered the router.
Tried resetting the camera and setting up via wireless
Tried setting it up via wired connection \

I've turned off my router firewall

I've done all I could think of but the camera will not connect to the internet.
All my other cameras worked fine even before I did any changes to my router. It is just this one camera the c232 in my workspace. I cannot even get it to connect to tapo care because it says it is not connected.

Hi,
The solid amber LED on the Tapo C232 indicates it's connected to Wi-Fi or cable but not to our cloud server, so it can't use the Tapo Care service.

If your router provides internet to your devices, it's recommended to check whether there are special settings that may block the camera from connecting to the internet, such as MAC Filtering, Parental Controls, Firewall, or antivirus settings.

You can enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can control it remotely.

Best Regards

Hello,

I've already done that and still stuck at amber. I've already turned off all firewall, antivirus, set DNS to 8.8.8.8 etc.
I've even reset the device used mobile hotspot and set it up from a different phone and still the same thing.

Edit: I have 5 other Tapo cameras all are working fine except this one.
