Is any body else experiencing significant delays in receiving notifications from a KC200 on an android phone?  If so has anyone found a cure for this? Not all the time but sometimes by the time I receive a notification the delivery man has turned around a left, the delay can run to ten or more minutes. I have already set the Kasa app to not sleep.

At the same time, please provide the following information

  1. The hardware and firmware about KC200;
  2. The model number and operating system of your smartphone;
  3. Did other APPs on the smart have the same issue or not;
  4. Would it only happen when the smartphone is on sleep mode?
  5. How long would the notification be delayed?
  6. Does it matter if the smartphone is connected to the home router or 3/4G network?

If you met similar concern that phone get delayed notification from Kasa app, this could due to settings on the phone, we made an FAQ to help troubleshoot:

If the same,  please create a new thread with case details below and so we could help look into that further: 

1. Model of mobile phone and its OS version.

2. Model & MAC address of the camera (share by private message)

3. TP-Link ID (share by private message)

4. APP version

Hello, it is our first time to receive such feedback, we can do some troubleshooting to narrow down this issue first and try to fix it. 

 

Please ensure that the  firmware of the KC200 is the latest one; and update the KASA APP version as well. 

 

Try to disable notification feature and re-enable it. 

 

And you can change another smart phone to do a comparison analysis. 

 

Still the same, please tell me the model number of the android phone and its OS version.

Firmware of the KC200 is 2.230; and update the KASA APP version is 2.17.0. 

 

The phone is a ZTE Blade V8 running Android 7.1.1, it is the only phone which I am currently using, my older phone, a Samsung A3, does not have a sim card. Can this be used for fault finding without a sim?

 

I have disabled notification feature and re-enabled it and am testing results.

No improvement after switching notifications off and back on again, still looking for a solution and any feed back from other KC200 users with or without problem.

@Andy.Wilson . I have the same problem. This night the delay was more than one hour but sometimes its only a couple of minutes.

somewhat similar.

mine is only delaying when my screen is off.

when the screen on my phone is on the delay is 5-10seconds.

Do you still have the same issue, if yes, please help us check the following information;

  1. What is the model number and operating system of your smart phone?
  2. If you test on two smart phones, would the notification delay on both of them?
  3. Did it often happen when the internet speed is lagging or smartphone is in sleep mode?

Always delayed notifikation when phones is in sleepmode. Up to 15 min. Notifikation comes when i open the phone.

If My phone is awake, the notifikation comes almost immediatley every time.

Tryed Nedis doorbell, its a similar camera and app that do the same thing, worked perfekt, but  your camera is better. 

Something is not perfect whith your app.
