Model: Tapo C310   Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.2, 1.3.3, 1.0.5

Today I find all motion/activity settings on 3 different hardwares have reverted themselves to defaults.

Previously set activity zones have been wiped, motion, person and vehicle sensitivity settings set to defaults, and the timelines spammed with false positives.

Also mention home and away is not set up, which I believe may cause similar behaviour.

How and why is this happening? Where exactly are these settings stored?

Thank you in advance

  @Hans_Moleman

Hi,
The problem seems that you have changed the phone but haven't edited the Home & Away mode settings properly, so the motion/activity settings are wiped after pressing the Home or Away mode on the new phone.

The Home or Away mode settings are saved on the Tapo app locally, and it won't sync when changing phones to log in to the Tapo app.

You can refer to the link below to edit the Home and Away mode settings and also check if the problem is that the Home and Away mode settings are not configured properly on the new phone.
How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo camera?

Best Regards
