I have one pan & tilt camera C500 with SD card - it records as it should.

In addition, I have 2 pcs of C400 cameras connected to H200 hub (with SD card).

i have the Tapo app running on my iPad. For some reason, the C400s only record events on SD card when my iPad is around, like today and last Sunday. Mon - Fri nothing recorded, even though C500 recorded events which should have been captured by C400s also.

Live video works fine via app, and SD card status and wifi signal strength is good.

Cameras are supposed to monitor my holiday house, so this problem really makes C400s useless, not doing their job while I am not myself at holiday house.

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to see what is the Wake-up Sensitivity of the battery camera.
What is the Wake-up Sensitivity of my battery camera/doorbell?

From your description, it seems the Tapo C400 does not wake up when there is an event, please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
Detection Is Not Working On TP-Link Camera

If the problem remains, please help confirm:
1. Send me a picture of the camera's Detection page.

2. Enable the Notifications feature on the Tapo app, and check if you can receive a notification when an event happens in front of the camera. You can go to the Tapo app>Home>Bell icon, tap your camera, and see the received notifications.

3. Check the LED status on the camera when it detects an event.
