Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. In this case, if you are willing to continue troubleshooting, you can send me the OS version of your phone and check if an SD card is inserted into the hub Tapo H200. I'll then send the instructions to you to collect the relevant logs for further analysis.

Hi,
Would you please send us a video showing the reported issue? And help check if any smart action entries include your camera and may turn on its privacy mode.

Hi All,
1. The following settings on the Tapo app may cause the camera's privacy mode to be automatically turned on. You can try to remove them if they are configured on your Tapo app.
1) Go to the Tapo app > Cameras tab > Home Mode or Away Mode page to check if your camera is included. If so, tap your camera and check if the Privacy Mode is enabled. If your camera is included in the Home/Away Mode and the privacy mode is enabled, when tapping the Home/Away mode, the preset configurations will apply to your camera and the Privacy mode will turn on. You can delete your camera from the Home/Away mode for a try.

2) Go to the Tapo app > Smart tab > Automation page to check if there are entries to turn on the Privacy Mode on your camera. If so, you can disable or remove these automation entries.
2. If your Tapo app does not have the above settings, but the camera's privacy mode will automatically turn on after you turn it off, please confirm the following information:
1) How often does the problem occur? Does the camera's privacy mode automatically turn on every time after you turn off it, or does it only happen occasionally?
2) Please confirm your Tapo app's version info.
3) Check the camera's model and MAC address and send them to me(@Solla-topee) via a private message.
4) It would be appreciated if you could send us a video showing the reported issue. You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send me the link via a private message.
5) Please refer to the instructions below to collect the camera log for analysis.

@Solla-topee my privacy mode turned on a week ago, cannot turn it off ("error, please try again later". The attached door chimes (Tapo plug in ones) work normally and ring when the doorbell is pressed. All other Tapo cameras work fine. The doorbell is not included in the Home/Away settings.
it is a D235 mains powered.

Hi,
You can try the following steps and check if they are helpful.
1. Uninstall the Tapo app and then reinstall it to ensure you have the latest version.
2. Try to reboot the doorbell, and then check if you can turn off the privacy mode.
3. Try a different phone if you have one and check if it helps.

@Solla-topee
1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, no change.
2. I try to reboot the doorbell, I get the same error when I try to reboot (error: try again later). If I turn off the hardwired power, it just switches to battery so I cannot hard reset it.
3. I and my family connect from 3 different phones, all the same problem.
Note that it is also connected to Home Assistant, and that can see the stream perfectly.
