TP-Link ID(also called TP-Link account or TP-Link cloud account) provides a unified authentication service to allow you to use a single email address to login TP-Link Community, Omada Cloud, Training system and manage TP-Link products with TP-Link Apps such as Aginet, Omada, VIGI, Deco, Tether, Kasa and Tapo. With a TP-Link ID, remembering endless usernames and passwords is a thing of the past.

Below are some frequently asked questions about TP-Link ID, which will help you learn more about this service.

Q1. How to create a TP-Link ID?

A. You can refer to the two methods in the following instructions to create a TP-Link ID with your email address.
What is TP-Link ID and how to create a TP-Link ID?

Q2. What to do if I forget the password of my TP-Link ID?

A. Here we take the Tapo app as an example, please refer to the following instructions to change the TP-Link ID's password.
What can I do if I forget my password of the cloud account

Q3. What can I do when failing to sign up for a TP-Link ID?

A. If you're unable to sign up or active the TP-Link ID, you may refer to the following troubleshooting:

    1) Ensure you have internet access when you sign up for the TP-Link ID.

    2) Confirm you have entered a valid e-mail address and password. Please do not use special characters such as &, ~, %, space, etc., for a try.

    3) If you can't receive the activation e-mail when signing up for the TP-Link ID, please refer to the link to troubleshoot.

Q4. What can I do to protect my TP-Link ID?

A. The TP-Link ID is very important since the person who knows it may be able to access your devices. Below are some best practices to protect your TP-Link ID.
    1) Use complex passwords (a mixture of upper and lower letters, numbers, etc.) when signing up.
    2) Use a unique password different from other website accounts to avoid being involved in their accidental data breaches.
    3) Change your passwords regularly.
    4) Use 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) on our apps. Here we take the Tapo app as an example: Making Your Account More Secure: Introducing Two-Step Verification (2FA) for the Tapo App.  With Two-Step verification enabled, a new device that signs into the app with your TP-Link ID will be asked to enter a time-sensitive verification code to protect your account and prevent unauthorized access.

Q5. If I log in to different TP-Link apps using the same TP-Link ID (email address), can I set different passwords for each app?

A: Nope. Each TP-Link ID has a password only. This means that regardless of which TP-Link app you use, the same password will apply across all apps that log in with that TP-Link ID. If you change your TP-Link ID's password, it will update for all apps simultaneously.

Q6. If I have different Tapo devices located in various places and connected to different Wi-Fi networks, can I manage them all using the same Tapo app?

A: Yes. Each Tapo device can only be bound to one TP-Link ID. Once the Tapo devices are successfully configured and bound to your TP-Link ID, you can log in to the Tapo app with that TP-Link ID to manage all your devices, regardless of their location. This allows for convenient control and monitoring from a single app.

  @Johnver

Hi,
You can try to remove the doorbell camera from the Tapo app, press the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to factory reset it, then reconfigure it to connect to the new router's Wi-Fi.
