How do I set my tapo camera up such that when I'm at home the camera doesn't detect, record, or notify during the day, but I can still use live view if needed, then detects, records and notifies at night. When I'm away, the camera should be configured to detect, record and notify all the time. This would then be equivalent to the arm/disarm capabilities of other manufacturers.

For your requests, with your camera's detection, recording, and notification features configured, you may add 3 automation entries and enable or disable them as required. For example:
Entry 1: Turn on the privacy mode at 8:00 AM.
Entry 2: Turn off the privacy mode at 8:00 PM.
Entry 3: Turn off the privacy mode when you leave home.
1) When you are at home, the three entries can be enabled. When you leave home, it's recommended to turn off entry 1 and entry 2.
2) If you want to watch the camera's live view temporarily at home during the day, you can turn off the privacy mode manually on its live view page, then turn it on when you leave its live view page.
