@TP-Link WiFi routers have been in the news recently for security vulnerabilities: https://www.iot-inspector.com/blog/router-security-check-2021/ . Of the 11 routers tested, TP-Link Archer AX6000 had the most vulnerabilities at 32. Does the new Deco firmware fix the vulnerabilities it has in common with the AX6000?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
As for the vulnerabilities reported by IoT Inspector, except for Archer AX6000, currently, we have not received any similar feedback on other models.
And our senior engineers are investigating and will keep updating this advisory as more information becomes available. Once an affected model is confirmed, the new firmware to fix this issue will be released very soon.
If you have any further concerns, please feel free to submit a security-related inquiry regarding one of our products to TP-Link Technical Support.
Thank you again.

New Features/Enhancement:1. Added Reboot Schedule for every day/week under Deco App > More > Reboot Schedule.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
So does this mean i can schedule a reboot to all deco's connected to the main deco?
5. Added Smart DHCP on/off switch under Access Point mode.Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
Smart DHCP is enabled by default. When the Smart DHCP function is enabled, Deco will periodically check whether the DHCP Server in the LAN is working properly, and when it stops working, Deco will take the initiative to assign IP addresses to the devices in the LAN.
Hmmm.. This is a good feature but shouldn't you guys allow Router Mode to be configured so that DHCP can be Enabled/Disabled? This should be more of the priority isn't it? almost all router allows such feature anyway.

Yes, you are right.

For the DHCP on/off under wireless router, many standard routers have this feature but when would you use this feature, or for what purpose? Currently, we haven't seen such a necessity to disable DHCP under wireless router mode. Some users do not want Deco to work as a DHCP server and still want its parental control /QoS feature, but it is not what Deco Mesh is mainly designed for. Please feel free to send us a feedback via Deco APP>Help>Contact Us>Suggesions and tell us more why you need this feature.
Update:
The second edition of 1.6.0 firmware(Deco M5 1.6.0 build 20220214) has been updated no the original post and It has improved all the reported issues on the first beta version.

@TP-Link I installed the new firmware update today and my internet speeds are now about 1/6 of what they were previously. I've tried rebooting the Deco. I have 3 S4R.

Hi, Thank you for the feedback
Since the original post is about M5 with 1.6.0, and you have S4, I believe the firmware you have updated is 1.5.1?
Can I have more details about your current speed issue, such as:
1. is Deco S4 working as an access point, or wireless router?
2.Did you test the Ethernet connection as well as the 5ghz from the main S4----it is suggested that you could turn off the 2.4ghz band on the Deco APP to have a test.
Thank you and wait for your reply.
