Model: Archer AXE95
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20231027

Hi all,

I've created both a guest Wi-Fi network and a main Wi-Fi network with my Archer AXE95 router.

But I haven't discovered how to connect and isolate IoT devices on different subbets.

Moved into a new apartment that runs HVAC through Nest, and has a Yale front door lock that's also WiFi enabled.

How do I put the lock, HVAC and my smart TV (Roku) on separate subnets to protect them from Internet facing traffic?

Can this be done with the TP-Link Archer AXE95 router? Or do I also need something else?

Would really appreciate guidance on this. Also, eager for advice about how to "find" the IoT devices, in the first place. I realize I need visibility before I can isolate them! Suggestions for scanning tools?

Thank you!

  @ReJeGa

If you install the Tether app it will offer a HomeShield Network Security, which includes IoT protection feature:

AFAIK AXE7800 doesn't include a separate IoT wireless network where you can isolate your smart home devices - details and supported devices.

How to configure this feature on supported devices - details.

 Thank you, @terziyski! I prefer to manage my TP-Link router through my desktop, and I have an iMac without the M1 chip, so Homeshield is not supported/available through my desktop. I do have the Tether app on my iPhone, so I'll look into following the guidance you provided through that route.

Also, I've started researching Access Points and think that adding one will enable more options for segration and isolation of IoT devices. So much more to learn!
