Model: Deco BE11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: V2.6_1.0.5 Build 20240521

I set up 3 units, ethernet backhaul. On the main deco, Guest internet works without issue.

Both Satellites though have internet limitations.

if i configure wireless backhaul, internet works without issue.

this only happens on Wi-Fi deco 7 mesh, the 6E models did not have this issue.

Hi  @e_ma10,

Welcome to the community. To better understand and so our community can help provide suggestions, please share a few more details:

  1. Was only the Guest Network affected, or was all Internet connectivity down via the Satelite Deco Nodes when connected via Ethernet backhaul?
  2. Which Ethernet port(s) on the satellite nodes were used to connect the Ethernet backhaul?
  3. Can you provide a detailed description or diagram of your network topology and how your Decos are connected?
  4. What type of Internet limitations occurred? Was it a total loss of Internet on the Guest Network, or only some sites/services?

  @Ryan

only guest network, primary and iot were unaffected. Main unit worked as designed.

on the be11000 i matched the second port from the bottom with the second port on the main deco. I also tried port 1 on satellite and port 2 on main.

diagram: modem cat6 to main deco-ethernet connection to satellite deco via cat 5

Internet was not accessible. Iphone indicated no internet when connecting.

i spoke to tp link support, they gave me early access to firmware in beta but that didnt resolve.

i enabled and disabled ipv6, no change.

I changed dhcp subnet mask to 255.255.255.255 instead of the default.

i disabled fast access, beamform, tried 2.4 and 5 bandwidth.
