XE75 6GHz
Hi,
First off, I do not have any problems with my 3 Deco setup running in AP mode.
I recently revisited my settings and I am sure I used to have an option to dedicate 6GHz to backhaul.
However I cant seem to find that anymore - just an option to use or not use 6GHz.
I switched to AP mode a while back, maybe thats why ?

Nope, you are right. It's gone. I don't know when they removed it and whether it was intentional or not but there is no longer an option to use 6ghz as backhaul only. Also, I am not sure if this is an issue with the app or a more recent firmware update to the XE75.

Thanks, it was not just me getting old then
I hope that it defaults to dedicating 6GHz to to backhaul when it is turned off for 'regular' use.
It would be nice to have an official confirmation and an explanation of why it was removed.

In recent firmware releases, Deco wireless backhaul technology has been updated so the 6 GHz band is no longer restricted solely for backhaul use.
The update allows the Deco to take advantage of multi-band wireless backhaul technology that aggregates multiple bands, including 6 GHz, into a combined backhaul for connections between Deco units.
By doing this, it reduces the need for additional user intervention by automatically adjusting to the optimal connection according to your wireless devices' performance.
Another benefit is that by aggregating the backhauls, your Deco can provide faster speeds and stable connection while also reducing latency and improving overall throughput.

@SteenTP Indeed, it was never possible to control the usage of 6GHz by the backhaul: the backhaul always tries using all bands.
I believe the new approach is easier to understand, and is similar to the way the other bands are configured. There is no reason to mention "backhaul", as the context is to control the bands offered to the clients.
An, indeed, the transition from the old to the new approach is confusing.
