Hello, I got the exact same issue. I have the same router Archer C80 (US) Ver 2.2r, the same firmware 1.11.5 build 220627, and I am in Singapore. There is no option for easy mesh. I saw that this issue was solved with new firmware with the SG version

Could you share this firmware with me?

@marineliu I've responded in the following thread, please check:

@Sergey_K

Char-lie is right. RE605X only supports wireless backhaul so it cannot establish an EasyMesh connection via Ethernet Backhaul with Archer AX53.

Hi Kevin

I updated the two AX53 v1s online within the router settings, as it informed me of the new update.

However, the guest network and IoT configuration does not go to the second mesh router.

And there is also no browser access to the second mesh router, as you can access it normally on the Mercusys routers.

Can you pass it on to the programmers to release these functions, as they are extremely important!

  @AngeloWinicius I'm pretty sure you can only access the web ui of the main router, and IoT, Guess network doesn't work with secondary/satellite router

Hi, as we discussed here earlier last month, we need to take a further confirmation about your network situation, but seemed no response from your side anymore.

It is hard to locate the problem directly based on the information you provided in the past. We really appreciate it if you could continue the troubleshooting with us for next possible progress.

Hi Kevin,

Im trying to set up easy mesh with two Archer C80(US). I have one Version 1.0 which i have upgrade the firmware to support easy mesh.

My second unit is a version v2.20. it is on firmware Version: 1.11.5 Build 220627. The tether app tells me that my firmware is up to date. But with the current firmware, i do not see an option for easymesh or changing it to a satellite unit.

I live in Singapore and from the support center in my region i can only see and download firmware from C80 Ver1.0. https://www.tp-link.com/sg/support/download/archer-c80/#Firmware

. However from this thread i see that v2.20 is supported for easymesh and i also see the firmware available on the US website.

Is there any way i can update the firmware of my v2.20 C80? FYI, I tried downloading and installing the US firmware but it was not successful.

Or do i have to find another version 1.0 in my region?

Thanks,

-G

Is there any information on when we can expect EasyMesh to support full IOT and guest networks?

It seems again something that has been missed out, all of my routers support both IOT and Guest networks on their own so why not support these networks as part of the Mesh System?

@Spawn_e_git

While we can't provide an estimated time of arrival for this feature, it has been forwarded to the relevant team for evaluation. We plan to optimize the EasyMesh implementation in future updates.

  @Kevin_Z

Hello Kevin,

Recently I've acquired an Archer AX55 V1 router. It runs the latest firmware version 1.3.3.

When I had the AX55 V1 setup as an Easymesh Satellite I logged into its web management interface and noticed that the Network Map menu contains a section titled "Guest Network".
My EasyMesh Main router is a different TP-Link model and no Guest network is showing up on the AX55 V1 Satellite.

But here is my question. If the EasyMesh Main router and the Easymesh Satellite router were both the model AX55 V1 with firmware v1.3.3, would the Guest Network then be extended to the Easymesh Satellite router?

Hello @Kevin_Z  Could you please release a new firmware update that support ECO MODE feature for Archer AX53 V1.

That feature will help reduce the energy consumption of the device which is beneficial for both the environment and utility bills. I think that's important nowadays.

And also DoH / DoT.

I think really important nowadays to enhance security and privacy.

Please pass it along to the development team and put this at a Top priority possible.

Thank you for your consideration.
