New Release Wi-Fi Routers Support DoH and DoT Network
Good news!
We are happy to announce that there is new official firmware rolling out for multiple routers, including the BE, AX, and AC series, which adds DoH and/or DoT. Welcome to upgrade and install this version of firmware to try it out.

Moderator Note:
1. The availability of DoH and/or DoT may vary by region even for the same model. Please check your local website for more information.
2. The above list might not include all models and hardware versions. It is recommended to keep watching the firmware releases for your router, as all the newly supported features will be listed in the patch notes if/when it is added to your version.
3. DoH would not be available when the router works in Access Point mode. Visit this FAQ to know more about the difference between Access Point Mode and Router Mode.
Introduction and Configuration
DoH/DoT Introduction
DoH (DNS over HTTPS) and DoT (DNS over TLS) are two methods that enhance the security and privacy of DNS queries in network communications.
DoH encrypts DNS queries within HTTPS traffic, making them indistinguishable from regular web traffic and difficult to monitor.
DoT uses a dedicated TLS connection for DNS messages, ensuring they are secure from eavesdropping and tampering.
DoH/DoT Configuration
You can go to Advanced > Network > Internet page to enable DoH or DoT.

Note: There are 3 built-in DoH Servers: dns.quad9.net, dns.google, and cloudflare-dns.com, you can choose one at a time.

Go in your router's settings page - Advanced - System Update - Firmware and check for updates.. If it doesn't prompt you to install the new firmware, it means it's not released yet for V2, only for V1..

Hi, TP-Link team,
Are there any considerations about implementing DNS modes like DoH and DoT on the Archer AXE75(AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router)?
I'm a bit sad about I already bought the router not having this opportunity like I always had.
